WENTWORTH STREET

  • It was based on research and conversations with the street's residents, used to explore its rich history and cultures. Historically, it held a famous fabric market and was originally inhabited by a Jewish community. Overtime, the cultural diversity on the street grew along with its architecture and the community's solidarity with one another. In present day, the community of Wentworth Street is primarily made up of Jewish, Algerian, Pakistani and African residents alongside many other cultures. Each element of the design takes inspiration from the various tapestries and architecture found on the street. These come together for the final outcome which acts as a unifying celebration of the street's diverse community, brought together in a high-end style of a bygone era. Work in this project includes type design and illustration.
